Walnuts as a Livelihood and Cultural Heritage workshop

Hassan Ait Maala of Ighil Community, Walnuts as a Livelihood and Cultural Heritage workshop, Amal Targa Centre

Hassan Ait Maala from Ighil has been working with Amal in their earthquake relief efforts in the region. Hassan and his community have been harvesting walnuts for commercial sale as a form of generating local livelihoods. Hassan will lead us through a discussion and sharing giving us insight into the harvesting and cultivation of walnuts from the region. We will be enjoying walnut cookies and varieties of herbal tea during Hassan’s session. You will have the opportunity to support Hassan and his community by purchasing some of the delicious walnuts. This session also includes a beautiful takeaway menu that holds storytelling, recipe and herbal knowledge co-designed with our Creative in Resident Soukayna.
