As part of the 11th edtion of Harvest Festival Marrakech مهرجان الحصاد فمراكش supported by Halaqat, artist Hiba Baddou joined us in a residency to produce a new body of work that has been in development since late 2025.

Drawing upon the spiritual, scientific and political parallels between women and water, and imaginging water futures through a speculative eco-feminist imaginary, Hiba Baddou has produced an expansive and ethereal body of visual work that spans film, photography, sculpture and sound — all contributing to the artists penchant for storytelling that is anchored in exposing difficult or underseen truths through speculative approaches.

The evening hosted by our long term partners LE 18 brings us into an immersive sharing of the work that will continue to be supported by us over 2027 when it will evolve into a moving exhibiton. The evening will bring together sound, visuals and moving image and will be accompanied by a conversation between Harvest Festival Marrakech مهرجان الحصاد فمراكش curator Lorén Elhili and Hiba which will share insights into the creation of this work and how it forms part of a larger ouevre.
