High Atlas Food Market @La Rôtisserie de la Paix
4 November, 11 am to 7 pm, High Atlas Food Market, La Rôtisserie de la Paix
Meet cooperatives from the High Atlas, trace the journey of their biodiversity-friendly products and support rural livelihoods.
Our Autumn edition ended with a wonderful series of events on 30 October, but Harvest Festival still lives on!
On Friday 4 November, you will have the opportunity to meet representatives of High Atlas cooperatives and buy excellent local products directly from them. Please come support local food sovereignty and the livelihoods of High Atlas communities.
Many thanks to our partner La Rôtisserie de la Paix for hosting this event!
La Rôtisserie de la Paix is a family and women-run restaurant in the heart of Guéliz. Built and operating since 1949, it is a part of the cultural and historical heritage of the neighbourhood. After Omar and his son Brahim, La Rôtisserie de la Paix is now owned by his 4 daughters. They work to preserve the spirit of the place, a harvest of peace in the busy city, which hosts many species of trees, plants and birds, many planted in the 70s. The restaurant serves authentic and simple food, mostly organic grilled meats and vegetables.”
La Rôtisserie de la Paix are committed to encouraging women’s entrepreneurship and empowering rural women through supporting the High Atlas Market and using products from rural cooperatives.
