Harvest Souk with the Gifted Mothers of Dar Bellarj and others

Harvest Souk at Dar Bellarj returns as a gathering place for exchange, celebration and community during the 11th edition of Harvest Festival Marrakech. Bringing together the Gifted Mothers, the Speculative Garden of Dar Bellarj, and our High Atlas Cooperative partners, the Souk offers an opportunity to discover and support locally rooted food, craft and agricultural practices. Joining them this year is The Mothership Tangier, with residency coordinator Mounia Yasmine O’Neil presenting seeds, plant dyes and other materials from the project’s growing “eco-campus” dedicated to making, learning and the preservation of natural dye practices and indigenous knowledge. The Souk will also welcome cooperative products from Figuig, including date coffee, cosmetics and other locally produced goods. We are also joined by the Siroua Project, whose aim is to safeguard and promote the endemic and hardy Siroua breed of sheep, Morocco’s best wool breed, which is now threatened with extinction
