Women and Climate: Building Gender-Responsive Solutions, 11am to 2pm 

This workshop aims to address the gendered impacts of climate change and the barriers faced by women, particularly in rural communities. It is intended to be both educational and empowering. The workshop will provide a foundational understanding for participants who may not be fully aware of gender inequities in the environmental sphere, emphasising why empowering women is critical to achieving sustainability goals. It will also highlight practical initiatives that women-led cooperatives have adopted, focusing on how these success stories can be replicated. The content of this workshop is versatile—it can serve those new to these topics while also supporting women leaders who are already facing these challenges firsthand.

المرأة والمناخ: بناء حلول مراعية للمنظور الجنساني، من 11 صباحا إلى 2 مساء 

تهدف ورشة العمل هذه إلى معالجة التأثيرات الجنسانية لتغير المناخ والحواجز التي تواجهها النساء، لا سيما في المجتمعات القروية. وتهدف هذه الورشة إلى أن تكون تعليمية وتمكينية. ستوفر الورشة فهماً أساسياً للمشاركين الذين قد لا يكونون على دراية كاملة بأوجه عدم المساواة بين الجنسين في المجال البيئي، مع التركيز على أهمية تمكين المرأة في تحقيق أهداف الاستدامة. كما ستسلط الضوء على المبادرات العملية التي تبنتها التعاونيات التي تقودها النساء، مع التركيز على كيفية تكرار قصص النجاح هذه. إن محتوى هذه الورشة متعدد الاستعمالات – حيث يمكن أن يساعد الأشخاص ذو معرفة محدودة حول هذه المواضيع، كما يمكن أن يدعم القيادات النسائية اللواتي تواجهن هذه التحديات بشكل مباشر.

Youth Leadership for Climate Action, 4pm to 6pm 

The Youth Advocacy workshop will focus on building advocacy skills among young participants, teaching them how to mobilise their communities and engage with policymakers effectively. Advocacy in Morocco, as we envision it, is about empowering youth to become active participants in local climate actions, fostering collaboration with community stakeholders, and pushing for environmentally conscious policies. We will be working with participants to navigate the unique cultural and policy landscape of Morocco, providing real-world tools for advocacy that are relevant to our social context.

قيادة الشباب للعمل المناخي، من 4 مساء إلى 6 مساء

ستركز هذه الورشة على تطوير مهارات المناصرة بين المشاركين الشباب، وتعليمهم كيفية تحفيز مجتمعاتهم والحوار بشكل فعال مع صناع القرار. كما نتصورها، المناصرة في المغرب تهدف إلى تمكين الشباب ليصبحوا مشاركين نشطين في العمل المناخي المحلي، وتعزيز التعاون مع الأطراف المعنية في المجتمع، والحث على تفعيل سياسات مراعية للبيئة.

سنعمل مع المشاركين على استكشاف الإطار الثقافي والسياسي الفريد بالمغرب، وتقديم أدوات عملية للمناصرة تتناسب مع سياقنا الاجتماعي.
