CATHARSIS exhibition tour with Curator Margarida Mendes and QANAT
Join curator Margarida Mendes and participating artists from QANAT collective (Abdellah Hassak, Francesca Masoero, Rim Mejdi & Othmane Ouallal) for a comprehensive tour of the Marrakech edition of CATHARSIS. The tour will offer an opportunity to learn about the research and practice of QANAT in Morocco and the artistic work developed by some of its contributors, as well as to discover more in depth about the practice of the other collectives presented in the exhibition.

Margarida Mendes is a researcher, curator, artist, and educator, exploring the overlap between critical ecology, experimental film, sound practices and ecopedagogy. She creates transdisciplinary forums, exhibitions and experiential works where alternative modes of education and sensing practices may catalyse political imagination and restorative action.
QANAT is a collective platform that explores the politics and poetics of water to reflect and act upon the multiple contextual understandings and forms of reproduction of the commons in Morocco, Palestine, and beyond. It was initiated in 2017 at LE 18 (Marrakech).
